The view

One of my favourite things to do every day is to sit on the terrace and watch the sun set. (A nice G&T would top off the experience, but surprisingly, I haven’t bought any yet).
Our large terrace faces directly west so you get a great view. The sun sets at about 6.45pm and it is a spectacular sight. It turns an amazing red/orange colour and you can sit and watch it actually move down towards the horizon. It seems to happen so quickly, it somehow feels unreal! It is an extremely beautiful sight especially when there are eagles and green parrots swooping around just within reach of the terrace.

Once the sun has set, the light doesn’t instantly disappear; it stays dusky and feels really eerie for about half an hour. It looks like it does in the UK when it is about to bucket it down with rain, but of course it doesn’t here. (Well not at this time of year anyway).

Here are some pics of a few of the sunsets I have seen. I really like the ones with the clouds, I think they are beautiful.
