Keeping fit

Well I've done something that no one will ever believe! I've joined a Gym! I've never belonged to a gym in all my life!

Before I came to India, I was hoping that the 'delhi belly' would help me out and make me lose loads of weight but that hasn't happened yet so I guess I'm gonna have to lose weight the old fashioned way - Excercise! (However I am glad I haven't been ill yet, it seems like a horrible thing to go through!)

I signed up to a gym just two minutes walk away called Solaris for just 5500 rupees for three months, which is about £78! I now have an exercise plan where I'm going to do 3 days cardio and 3 days full body workout (using weights etc.) I am also going to take part in some of the aerobics classes - on Tuesdays and Saturdays there is Bollywood dancing which should be fun! I'm really going to try and stick to it. It'll be good because it'll give me something to do with part of my day, it also may be a good way for me to meet people. Watch this space!

You'll have no trouble making friends if you're willing to go out and make even a small amount of effort.

From a financial point of view, right now it's a really attractive prospect, but the Indian economy is growing at close to 10% per year - this will soon hurt if your pension is fixed to a lower growth economy.
